Cadet Training Program

Kick-start your aviation career at our superb Flight Training School facility in Al Ain. With its clear blue skies, light commercial traffic and 4000 meter runway with ILS and non-precision approach navigation aids, it is the perfect place to hone your skills. The equipment is here too! We start with the ‘advanced display technology’ Cessna 172 Skyhawks and move on to the Diamond DA42 for multi-engine training. Thereafter the sky’s the limit with jet induction training on our fleet of Embraer 100 jet trainers and the unbelievable Extra 300’s for Upset Recovery Training.

We offer cadets the chance to obtain their Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL). Combining theory examinations, over 200 hours of single engine flying on the Cessna 172 Skyhawk and twin engine flying on the DA42.

Cadets can obtain a Multi-crew Pilots License (MPL) flying the Phenom 100 twin jet trainer and conducting ‘upset recovery training’ on the Extra 300. The MPL license culminates in a full airline Type Rating.

Etihad Aviation training operates two Extra 300LT’s for our extensive Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) course, as part of our MPL syllabus.

The Extra 300LT provides the perfect platform due to its extraordinary flight envelope and limitations. This training course is to introduce Pilots to recovery techniques, limitations, energy management, aerodynamics, aircraft recovery and startle factor exercises.

Pilots will gain exposure to various aircraft attitudes, enabling them to reach the capabilities required to safely Prevent, Recognize and Recover from any Loss of Control In-flight (LOC-I).
